Fluf FAQ
Straight answers: what Fluf is, where your bots run, which models you can use and what you pay.
What is Fluf?
A desktop app where you run a team of AI bots for your business. Each bot has a job, a face and a model. A chief of staff coordinates them and only brings you decisions.
Who is it for?
Founders and operators who already use AI every day and want it organised: solo founders, people running several businesses, agencies and freelancers.
Why not use Claude or ChatGPT?
Keep them. Fluf puts them to work as a team: separate jobs, managers, a chief of staff, memory per business. One chat can't run five jobs at once; a team can.
What do I need?
A Mac or Windows computer (Linux is in release testing), an internet connection and one AI connection: an API key, or your installed Claude Code or Codex signed in with your own login.
Which models can I use?
Claude, GPT, Gemini, Grok, Muse and hundreds more through OpenRouter. Pick a model per bot and switch any time.
Can I use Claude Code or Codex?
Yes. Fluf runs your installed Claude Code or Codex, signed in with your own login, and the app's own terms and limits apply. Fluf never sees your credentials. Or add an API key for any provider.
Am I paying for AI twice?
No. Fluf charges for the app. Your provider bills your model usage directly. No Fluf credits, no markup, no top-ups.
What happens when I switch a bot's model?
It keeps its name, memory and full conversation history and carries on where it left off.
Do my bots keep working when my computer is off?
They work while your computer is on and awake, with Fluf running. Check unfinished jobs after downtime.
Can bots use my computer?
Yes, on Mac and Windows. You see when a bot is driving, can take over any time and set per-app rules: allow, ask or never. Linux is in release testing.
Will a bot send, spend or delete without asking?
Not unless you let it. Risky actions stop in Needs you for your call.
Where does my data live?
Your bots, memory and files stay on your computer. The model you choose receives the context each task needs. Our servers hold your account, licence and billing. See the privacy policy.
How do bots work together?
Through the org chart. Managers delegate, specialists report back and problems escalate up. You can read every conversation.
Does every bot get its own Telegram contact?
Yes. Each bot can have its own Telegram contact with its own token. The work still happens on your computer, so keep it awake with Fluf running.
Where do I manage my plan?
In your Fluf account's billing controls. See Pricing and Refunds. Uninstalling the app doesn't cancel billing.
Will bots run in the cloud?
Cloud is coming very soon: your bots will run in the cloud with their own computer.
Is Fluf affiliated with Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, xAI or Meta?
No. Fluf works with their models through your own keys and accounts.
